CALGARY MEN’S TEAM IN ATHL
The 2011 – 2012 season came to a
conclusion on March 25 in Edmonton for the Alberta Team Handball League.
The Calgary Men’s team lost their the semi-final
game to Danza HC, but went on to win the Bronze
Medal game against Gummersbach HC.
Congrats to all the members of our Calgary Men’s team for bringing back the
Bronze Medal at the ATHL playoffs!
CALGARY HIGH SCHOOL HOSTING TEAM HANDBALL PROVINCIALS
Clear Water Academy hosted the 2012 High School Team
Handball Provincial Championships on April 27 – 28, 2012. 26 High Schools from across Alberta came
to Calgary to compete for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Girls and Boys Championships. Congratulations to Clear Water Academy
Boys and Girls for winning Bronze Medals at the Provincial Championships.

TEAM HANDBALL
OFFICIAL ASAA SPORT
In 2009 ASAA added
Team Handball to its list of sports that would be given a trial run to see
how much interest it would generate among the High Schools of Alberta.
In the spring of
2011 Team Handball was voted in as an official sport for the ASAA. For the 2011-2012 season,
Alberta has witnessed a dramatic increase in the number of High Schools
putting together teams. We are
looking forward to an amazing year with growth in our youth programs.
